Windows 10: Odd Disconnections

Discus and support Odd Disconnections in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; ok so I've had 1 disconnection with the replacement plug so its not the old plug which is at fault.     I have currently installed Windows 10 Pro on our laptop which is then connected via ethernet to the same switch as my desktop. I plan to leave it on all day tomorrow to monitor disconnections.

    Odd Disconnections

    Thanks, will do.

    If the pc disconnects again then its the motherboard, if the laptop disconnects then its the house wiring.

    Hi,

    Possibly since you have the same problem with both the onboard NIC and the add in card.

    Does the MB manufacturer offer a diagnostic program for that MB ?
    Remember all the Event Viewer logging you're experiencing ? That may give a clue as well.

    I don't believe they have any diagnostic tools. Motherboard make is in my sys specs. I think all those errors are another indication as well.

    I've just had a disconnection but the laptop remained connected so I'm pretty sure its the motherboard.
