  1. Odd Windows10 Networking issues

Having an odd networking issue with my Windows10 Laptop.

Currently running Windows10 Home, version 1903, OS Build 18362.145, although have had similar issues on earlier Win10 version

I can be connected to the internet with no problems and connected to my work thru Citrix Workspace.

I will be working away happily, but every now and again, if I try to access new web sites, (including google news) I receive DNS issues.

Basic troubleshooting shows I am unable to even ping my default router, however I never lose connection to my work.

3-4 mins later and without doing anything it all pops back into life and I am able to browse the web again.

Thought it might be my ISPs DNS servers so have changed the laptop to use OpenDNS, Cloudflair and google, but the problem still keeps popping up.

It's deffo not a router or ISP issue as while my laptop is having issues I can quite happily connect over wifi via my Android phone or tablet.

Don't think it's a WiFi adapter issue because I don't completely lose connection.

I've followed the default actions as defined by Microsoft support page https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/10741/windows-fix-network-connection-issues but still no joy.

Anyone else come across this type of issue or any suggestions on what I can check / fix

    Cheers

    :)

    Issues with network adapters

    Hi Alfonso,

To resolve this issue, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter when you switch from WiFi to Ethernet connection. The Network troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix common connection problems including clearing the network cache to obtain a new
IP from the new network. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type Identify and repair network problems, and then select
Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
    • Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

If the issue persists, kindly try the troubleshooting steps on the following link:

Fix network connection issues in Windows 10
    .

We recommend that you try the steps on the Update the network adapter driver,
Run the Network troubleshooter followed by networking commands, and Use network reset to reinstall network devices sections.

Let us know how it goes for us to assist you further.
