I have both licences 2016 is from my boss and 2010 is mine. I am planning use the mine to do not depend from my boss licence. ¿What diferences are between? ¿Really 2016 are better? ¿What sustancial diferences between Word, Excel, Power Point, One note and Publisher? i do not use touch functions and dont like save things on one drive. I am wrter (spanish native dont speak english well), and use excel for descriptive stadic. Really need 2016?

    :)

There seem to be few real differences in the features available within the document themselves, or in the file formats. Where there are, 2016 will open 2010 documents without any problems.

Where 2016 mainly seems to have added new functions they are productivity tools, not new document features. Things like co-authoring and Skype integration (so you can talk to your co-authors while editing). This article has a comparison table for 2010, 2013 & 2016 features.

I have both and find Outlook 2016 more responsive than Outlook 2010. Mainstream support for Office 2010 has ended but it continues to 2020 for Office 2016. Extended support lasts 5 years longer for Office 2016 - see http://www.allyncs.com/docs/lifecyclesupport.html

  7. If you are okay with using your bosses key, I would advise using the Office 2016 key.

    Office 2010 or 2016

    Hi there
I still have both and apart from some office integration there's barely any difference.
Outlook 2016 sometimes hose up when you want to create accounts from non standard mail servers for example as it tries to create standard accounts rather than let you do the whole thing manually. This is particularly annoying when the input mail server has a different user name (logon name) and password to the SMTP sending server when using IMAP.

I could only get my 2016 Outlook accounts working properly by upgrading from 2010 - then it was fine.

Security could also be an issue but unless you are running a lot of complex EXCEL macros 2010 should be just fine for several years yet. Now if you can get 2016 cheaply -- another issue. !!

    Cheers

If you're worried about a learning curve, don't. I went from 2010 to 2016 and aside from the interface that opens under File, you'll pick up quickly on it, so if you have a free key, I'd use it without hesitation for more modern features and added years of support.

Is OneNote 2016 similar to the OneNote that was part of Office 2010?: I just upgraded from Windows 7 / Office 2010 to Windows 10 and the version of OneNote I used previously was faster, had many more features, and felt like a desktop app. This new version feels slow and looks like it was a horrible port from a mobile phone or something. Does...
