    Hi,

    We use smart card for user data encryption, mails are configured on different domain and does not use smart card credentials, whenever user changes the email password, the authentication window pops up with smart card as default login option, the user has to click on more choices to view outlook domain login password username is saved. Is there a way to disable smart card login for outlook or set outlook domain/username as default authentication. The main problem is user tries the outlook password on smart card and locks the smart card.

    i have tried disabling "Turn on certificate propagation from smart card" under Administrative template/windows components/smart card in gpedit.

    Setting office 2016 as a default

    What you can do is uninstall Office 2003, that should set Word 2016 and other Office 2016 apps as the default.

    Could you please uninstall, restart, reinstall and restart again only Office 2016 32 bits? Can you check if it works?

    I'm thinking option one is going to be my only option. I'm fine with that as long as I can get Outlook to work with my ISP's pop3 e-mail. Last time I tried that with the new 2016 install I could not get it to work, no way no how. All the same settings that work with the ISO install?

    EDIT: I should mention, for me as far as I know, neither of these options are a subscription. They use two different keys but they are perpetual one time activation licenses. I only ran the new download briefly though, as I could not get outlook to work. I bailed and went back to what works.
