Windows 10: Office 2016 & Office 365 Monthly Channel v1803 build 9126.2152 Apr. 11

Hello,

we have a strange issue with Skype for Business with this build. If the conversation contains smiley, the Skype client do not show it, and it seems there are missing content from further conversion in that chat window. And more, when we not use the conversation in full screen mode, there are random missing text from conversation too. At previous versions we do not have these issues. Anyone has the same issue?

Office 2016 programs removed by Office Windows 1709 update

It says "Office Professional Plus 2016" : Dropbox - Screenshot 2017-11-02 16.42.48.png It says "activated" but does not list my product number (never had a chance to enter), and seems to have a more recent version
than what I had installed before (actually says "1709", like the new OS version). Something is going on here with Office 2016 and the 1079 update....

It also says "monthly channel," which sounds an awful lot like a monthly subscription. I checked in my Microsoft online account and have no subscriptions (other than to free 5 gb Onedrive), and it seems to offer Office 365 as an "additional service". We'll
see if this freaks out in a month and quits working.

 

Clicking on a Window does not move it to the foreground in Windows 10

I have this same problem, just this week, since the installation of the latest Windows-10 updates from Microsoft.

First, an update to Office 365 was installed. That brought my system up to:

Microsoft Office 365

Version 1803

Build 9126.2152 Click-to-Run

Monthly Channel

It does not appear that this Office update provoked this problem. After this update was installed, windows would behave normally (selected windows would move to the foreground as they are supposed to do).

The next update to be installed was:

2018-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4093112),

which brought my system to:

Windows 10 Home

Version 1709

OS Build 16299.371

Since the installation of this update, windows will not move to the foreground when selected. Occasionally, if I select an icon for an open window in the taskbar two or three times, that window will move to the foreground. More often I will have to minimize
everything that I do not wish to view.

The problem affects all task windows, not just those for Office 365. It appeared after the last Windows-10 update.

I have deleted .tmp files, performed a Disk Cleanup, deleted temporary internet files, run sfc.exe, and rebooted the computer multiple times.

Is anyone aware of a fix for this issue? Or, do I have to wait for Microsoft to become aware of this issue and then (hopefully) issue a fix in some future monthly update?
