Windows 10: Office 2016 updates "error 0x8024002d"

Hi,


recently for some reasons I uninstalled MS Office 2016, however while in the process by mistake I went in Settings and checked for updates. The Windows 10 found the updates from the picture below but they couldn't be installed.


Then I restarted my PC, went to the following location -> "C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download" and deleted all the files (presumably they were Office 2016 update files). After all of that I re-installed the very same Office I had before and checked for updates where Windows 10 found the very same updates and they couldn't be installed (again). All of the time I am getting the very same error as shown on the picture below.

Tried installing them manually by downloading them from the Microsoft Support website but there was no success.


Please let me know if there is a solution for this issue.

I used to have Office 2010 Pro and Visio 2003 installed on this machine, but removed both several months ago and installed Office 2016 and Visio 2016 in their place.

I've tried running the Windows Update troubleshooter and resetting the update database but still see these errors.

How do I convince update that I'm not using Office 2010 any more?

When I ran the Windows up date, I got an error code of "Error 0x8024002d" on three installation modules:

• Security Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB3114553) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x8024002d

• Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB3114555) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x8024002d

• Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB3114750) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x8024002d

This is considerably better than it was. Since all refer to Office 2010 and I have Office 2016, need I worry?

Hello,

I've got the error message as you can find in the subject.

It automatically states I need the update of SP2 for Office 2010, but I have Office 2013 installed.

I downloaded the sp2 and tried to install manually, but an error message was shown: "Error occurred during detection".
