Windows 10: Office 365 sign in issue

Hi all,

I had a message popup every time I loaded Outlook saying my password was about to expire in x days. When there was 3 days left I clicked on it and was asked to change my password, which I did.

The next day a popup kept coming up asking for my password when I opened outlook. I tried the new one, but it wouldn't work. I tried the old one with the same result.

I went to Office 365 sign in page and tried to sign in using my company email and the following message comes up…“That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account or get a new one.”

When I click on “get a new one” it goes to a Create Account page

When I add my email (the same one) a message comes up…”It looks like there's already an account with (My email address) If it's you, go back and sign in. Otherwise, choose another username.”

Either there is an account or there isn’t…

I'm stuck in a vortex...I'm wondering if my account expired, but how do I get in and renew it if that's the case or find out even?? I need to use that email as its my company email

product key for office 365 please

Hi Kim, Office 365 generally does not come with a Product Key, it is locked to your Microsoft Account . . .

If you need to reinstall Office 365:

Go to Office 365 Login | Microsoft Office and if you're not already signed in, select Sign in.

Sign in with the account you associated with this version of Office.

On the Office home page, select Install Office - Install

If you are experincing another issue, please let me know . . .

 

Windows 10 Profile File Corruption

Windows Ticket # 1416827528 / Office 356 Ticket #7610400 | A few weeks ago, suddenly, Windows 10 failed to load a BSOD appeared with error message "Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap", then restart. this cycle continued until the computer was powered down.

Working with the Windows team the computer became stable but Office 365 had disappeared. Windows team recommended that I contact the Office 365 team. After numerous Office 365 uninstalls & installs, functionality returned but sign-in would not occur, the
latest Office 365 techie (a very nice person) determined that the Windows 10 Profile had become corrupted & proceeded to help setup a different Profile & Office 365 sign-in completed. Now, Office 365 will not load in either Profiles & the problem is not solved.
Should I uninstall & reinstall Windows 10 to solve the issue?

If you go to accounts.microsoft.com can you log in to your office 365 account?

When you say you loaded Outlook and seeing you are using 365 I assume this is outlook 2016. Any chance you have 2 Factor Authentication on. If so you have to enter APP password, not your regular sign in password. I've even seen it where you have to use app password when 2FA is not on.

Guess first thing is get into Office 365 account.

The issue was that I couldn't login to 365 to start with.
My tech came back from holidays and has sorted it out now...not sure how

Company's have their own Exchange Server that Microsoft Provides them through subscription. Sometimes, the company's exchange server glitches then it would appear that those accounts are out of subscription. I'm guessing the company reset the activation rearm count to sort the issue
