  1. okay. I know they are from china, but here me out. My knockoff galaxy buds are not playing...

Laugh, scoff, idc. I aint selling my liver and testicles to buy the galaxy buds. So i bought these knockoffs, blah blah blah. They work good enough, and connect perfectly to any phone. However, when it connects to my laptop, it wont play any sound. Now here are the weird things:

    1. Sound continues to play through my laptop
    2. I am able to raise and lower the volume through the knockoffs, but cant pause or skip.
    3. They show up in device manager under blutooth.
    4. They DONT show up in sound settings, meaning i cant change my audio output to them.
    5. even clicking on "manage sound devices" wont make it show up there
    6. They DO show up "connected" in bluetooth devices both as a mouse/pen/keyboard, and then they show up again as an audio
    7. but for both places it shows up in bluetooth, its a phone icon (?)

Look, its from china, it came like in packaging that made it look like i ordered marijuana or something. 99% this is just my fault. But maybe, just maybe, there is something out there to help solve this puzzle. Because, at the end of the day, no one wants to watch an ad to get 30 minutes of interupted listening ('course, it doesnt stop my sibilings from barging in my room and interrupting me) Thanks, help, and have a good day.

  2. Windows 10 can't control volume with Galaxy Buds connected

I was having the same problem with my HP Pavilion so I tried all the same steps as you, but had no luck and
I found that volume control was stuck on 20 for some reason. I tried resetting my Galaxy Buds from my phone and that worked temporarily then stopped.

I then restarted my laptop as I never really turn it off - and that worked instantly, I can now turn up and down the volume for my Galaxy buds using the volume keys on my keyboard. Try turning your laptop on, then restart it and check if the volume keys
are working. It would also be a good idea to restart your laptop every once in a while to prevent bugs like this in future.

  3. Samsung Galaxy Buds crash the Windows Audio Service

    Hi Mike,

You may want to try these steps:

    Bluetooth audio

If Bluetooth is turned on and the driver is up to date but your device still doesn't work, try removing the device and re-pairing it.

Here's how: Go to Start , enter Devices, select Bluetooth and other devices settings > select the device > Remove device > Yes and then try pairing again.

Make sure that the Bluetooth-enabled audio device is on and discoverable.

How you do this varies with devices, so check the info that came with your device or go to the manufacturers website.

If these won't work, try to uninstall the driver and reboot your system.

Then install again the driver for your Galaxy Buds.

Please let me know what will happen.

    Thanks and regards,

Bleutooth headphones Galaxy Buds TouchPad types characters in Remote Desktop (RDP)

I use Galaxy Buds (bleutooth headphones) on my Laptop. On the Buds there is a touchpad that can be used to control my phone (if they are connected to the phone).

From my Laptop i use a remote desktop connection to my work PC (a virtual machine). Now if I touch the buds, a character is typed into the VM (single touch is a 'g', double touch a 'p' and tripple a 'q'.

When I do this on my laptop, nothing happens.

In my Remove Desktop configuration, under 'local devices and resources', I have only 'shared' the C-drive of my laptop. (no priters, clipboard, etc.).

How is this possible? And how can I stop this?
