Windows 10: Old games don't open in Windows 10

Hi all!

Is been a while since some old games don't open anymore in my Windows 10. One of these being Combat Flight Simulator 3. I searched the whole internet for a solution for my problem, but nothing. Compatibility mode don't work, opening as administrator don't work, 640x480 resolution, reduced color or even Alt+Enter. The game process appear in Task Manager but short after it closes, the process ends by itself. I read about the update KB3086255 that have something to do with the DRM Blocking. The problem would be resolved if the noCD version was used. I downloaded the noCD version and the game still doesn't open. I've tried the same in a Windows 7 computer and the game fully worked, with no problems. The KB3086255 update doesn't appear in the update history of my Win10 for me to uninstall it. My Windows 10 is 64bit and I have two hard drives. In both of them when I install the game it doesn't open. Be it in Program Files x86 or just Program Files. The same problem happen in games like MS Flight Simulator 9. No-Cd patches don't resolve, compatibility mode, administrator. I didn't see anyone having the same problem as me, I would be glad with any possible help!

I am game player.(sniper fury)in win10.but to day don"t opening game.or close after 2-3 secend.3 the back to last morning by recovery poin .but nothing

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I would suggest you to refer the below link and check the compatibility of the game with Windows 10.

You may also try installing the game in compatibility mode.
Follow these steps to install the game software in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

        Right-click on the game setup file and click on
        ‘properties’.

        Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
        ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
        

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to get in touch with the game manufacturer if it’s specific to that particular game.
