Windows 10: Old games unplayable - low fps

Hello,


I looked through many topics regarding this problem but I have never found a solution that would help me, so I would very much appreciate your help.


I love some old games, that are not available right now on the digital platforms. I used to play them on my Windows 7 with no trouble, even on Windows 10 a few years back. When I installed them now... They run like 3 fps. Traffic Giant, Beach Life, Gruntz, you name a game before 2005 that has no modern digital platform it works horribly. What happened?! I heard that one of the Windows 10 updates got this messed up.


Just to be clear, yes I have the latest driver, yes I have changed the Nvidia panel to run automatically on graphic card, yes I have tried running the programs in administrator mode on multiple compatibility settings, neither one of this "solutions" worked.


Did anyone find a working solution?

Creator's Update Ruined the FPS in All My Games.

Same here, after updating to 1709, every single game became unplayable due to low FPS.

I suggest you to go into the games settings and check if the FPS is set to low. IF its low then change it into high.

Also see if the Monitor screen resolution matches the game screen resolution. You can check it by going into the setting of the game and check.
