Windows 10: Older Games will not work on Windows 10

Hello, My brothers and I received new laptops for Christmas and not one of us can play the games Star Ward battlefront, Star Wars Clone campaigns or Age of Empire II. I have tried changing the compatibility settings to Windows 7 along with the troubleshooter and they did not work.

My parents have laptops that are 2 and 3 years old with Windows 10 and the games work on them fine. What can we do?

I suggest you to install the games in compatibility mode and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

1. Right click on the setup file and select Properties.

2. Select Compatibility tab.

3. Check Run this program in Compatibility mode.

4. Let the game install and then check the functionality.

Older games not working on Windows 10

Here's how:

• In the search box, type run programs.
• Select Run programs made for previous versions of Windows, and then select Next.
• Choose the program you want to fix. If you don't see the program in the list, select Not Listed.
• Select Next, and then follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

Older games freezing up screen but keep playing on windows 10

Hi,

Most programs created for earlier versions of Windows will work on Windows 10. However, some older programs might run poorly or not at all. To resolve your concern, you may run the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter by following
the steps on this link to automatically detect and fix some of the most common
issues.

You may run the game in compatibility mode to make it work on your Windows 10 PC by following the steps below:

• Go to the game folder and right click on the setup file.
• Click on Properties and go to the Compatibility tab.
• Under the Compatibility mode, check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select the operating system where the game is compatible.
• Let the drivers install and launch the game again.

We also recommend that you update your graphics card drivers. Here's how:

• Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
• Expand one of the categories to find the name of your display adapter, then right-click (or tap and hold) it, and select Update Driver. For graphics cards, expand the Display adapters category, right-click your graphics
