Windows 10: On clicking left mouse botton on file icons, I get confirmatin to delete dialogue box.

After opening, on the desktop, when I select any icon or file I get a confirmation dialogue box to ensure to send the file to recycle bin. on double clicking file opens but the doc file contents get automatically gets deleted letter by letter. I just checked that my delet botton is not working in this condition ie. during writing in this dialogue box

Pl guide whether any virus infected or software issue.


I am using HP DV-4 series notebook. I have upgraded my os from win-7 to win-8 and then to Win-10.

How to select multiple files in Open dialogue box

I'm trying to post multiple pictures to social media & when I click on pictures & the Open dialogue box opens for me to select the pictures, I can no longer select multiple files with the Ctrl key, I also tried holding down the left mouse button & dragging
over both pics, neither of these work anymore. There are also no tick boxes in the corner of the icons in the Open dialogue box.

In the File Explorer the above works but not in the Open dialogue boxes.

Can you tell me how I can select multiple files or pictures in these Open dialogue boxes.

Clicking To The Left of Files and Checking Box?

On a public computer running win 10 I am able to see a list of files say in the downloads folder and if I click on the left of the file a box appears that I can check and it is selected. However on my home computer if I see a similar list when I click to the left of the file I do not see that box nor the option to check and select it. How do I enable that feature?TIA.

 

No color management in print dialogue box

Why is the critical step of removing all old printer drivers (Step 5) in the Printui dialogue the same as Step 6 right clicking the printer in Devices and Printers to delete it and restart PC?

After you install the printer software in Print 8 you did a lot of other things with a Desktop app that are not in the list and unneeded. Why were these necessary instead of just selecting a .pdf document to print and trying it?

The reason I ask is that I've suggested these steps countless times and they have always worked if only they are followed, not adding a bunch of steps at the end.
