Windows 10: On screen keyboard not visible in Tablet mode- HP X 360- Win 10

When it turn the display screen to 360 deg flat, the tablet mode is activated. However the on screen keyboard does not appear, only a blank outline of the onscreen keyboard is seen, without any alphabets or numbers, which is not usable,

Is there any specific setting I need to do to get onscreen keyboard in tablet mode?

I suggest you to perform the following troubleshooting steps and check if it helps. Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Right click on the Task bar and select ShowTouch Keyboard Button.
  
• 
  Open the Keyboard and close it (just to check if it’s working).
  
• 
  Next click on Action center and select
  Tablet Mode.
  
• 
  Once you are in Tablet mode, again Right click on the
  Task bar and select Show Touch Keyboard Button.
  
• 
  Open the Key board and check if it’s working in Tablet mode. Next check if it’s available on the task bar in both desktop and tablet mode.

Manually invoking keyboard popup in tablet mode


Hi guys,

When in full blown tablet mode (physical type cover completely removed), sometimes I want to initiate the on-screen keyboard to popup, but there is no keyboard icon in the "systray" area. But I can see the keyboard icon in the systray area when I'm in desktop mode.

Is there a way I can have the keyboard icon visible/accessible from within tablet mode??

This does NOT work as there is no option to disable the virtual keyboard in Ease of Access

Is there a registry edit that can kill it, PERMANENTLY
