    Once again a Windows 10 update (KB4023057) makes my computer useless...


    I am unable to use my computer for work again because Microsoft has forced another update on me. This time KB4023057 has slowed my computer so bad that everything just freezes. Restarting takes forever and nothing will work. Any suggestions other than not using Windows 10 again? These updates have been causing me so much stress. My wife and I have both missed many hours of work because of them. It has been a constant nightmare! It seems once things start going smooth again they force another update on us and the computer is useless again. I wish there were a way to block these updates!? Windows 10 has been such a horrible experience.

    I also have Windows 10 1709 : KB4023057 listed in programs and windows update is also trying to install it and failing at 71%
    whatever I do !

    So I have it already and it's still trying to install it and failing....

    Anyone know a sensible course of action to remedy the situation ?

    Hello,
    Got a notice that update KB4023057 waiting to be installed. Looked into installed updates list, it is listed as succesfully installed on 6 July 2018. Tried first to uninstall this update before installing the "waiting" update, it is not listed in the uninstall list. Tried to uninstall it via cmd prompt as admin, got answer it is not installed on my computer.
    Made a search in microsoft updates catalog, "We did not find any results for "kb4023057"" was the answer.
    Now I am asking you what to do, install or not, and what else can I do.
    Answers will be appreciated.

    This update seems unusual in that it has only been seen in a few select regions. It is not listed in the Windows 10 update history, but there is a KB article for it in all languages...

    • The key information there seems to be "Only certain builds of Windows 10 version 1507 and Windows 10 version 1511 require this update".
