Windows 10: Once again, editing files on my Windows 10 PC will change the Created On date. What is...

With some Googline I found this was a reported issue a few years ago, but I am still experiencing it. As far as I can tell, it is a new issue, though I have experienced it in the past.

But why does this keep happening? Should I dare try Windows 11 to fix the issue? I am extremely frustrated by this.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

How2 CHange dates of a file--suggested software not good enough

I used SKTimeStamp to change the dates of a file. However, I noticed it could only change 3 dates:
Date Created
Last Modified
Last Accessed
A search for such a utility often suggests "BulkFileChanger (BFC)" which seems to do the exact same thing: only these 3 dates.
However, if I right click on a file, for example a Word file, there 2 other dates listed:
Content Created
Date last Saved

Hence the above two utilities are not good enough. Is there a utility (or way) out there to change all dates including the last 2 mentioned?

  Which account are you using? Is it Administrator account or standard account?
  

I suggest you to login with Admin Account and create a new user account and try to edit the files.

You can Enable the built in Administrator account in Windows 10, then create a local account.
