Windows 10: One HDMI port won't give display

Hey I have bought a used slim ps3 and when I tried to output it's video to my viewsonic 27" led it failed so I thought maybe the cable is damaged, changed two other cables but no luck. Then I tried to plug the other port HDMI cable which was inserted into PC graphic card and it worked. Used the very same cable into other HDMI port on LED and it didn't work. Thought maybe the other port is faulty and took it to a repairing shop. He checked it and said it's okay

Even I saw xbox output on that same HDMI port. Came back home only to find the similar issue. What's wrong here?

Do you have the latest drivers installed for the graphics card?

If new drivers or reloading graphics card drivers doesn't fix it, the next thing I would suggest is to try the display port to HDMI adapter a couple of us have suggested already with a regular HDMI cable. If your cable is bad or you just need an adapter because for some reason a straight cable won't work - spending $20 on the adapter is a lot cheaper than new graphics card. I just installed my GTX 970 card a week ago and I had plenty of HDMI cables so that is why I went with the adapter instead of buying a new display port to hdmi cable.

 

Swap display port and HDMI port ourputs on Windows 10, Dell XPS 8920

Just purchased a new Dell XPS 8920 with Windows 10 that has both a Display port and HDMI port. My new monitor has the HDMI port and my older smaller monitor uses the computers Display port with a conversion cable to DVI on the monitor. How can I swap
monitor 1 (older) with monitor 2 (newer)? Windows lets me move the screens right and left but not swap primary #1 and secondary #2. Thanks for any suggestions; Capt. Brigg
