Each time I start the Computer I get an Error in the Message Centre

One of the USB device attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognise it.


I have tried using Driver Easy to look for a solution and it did find some that were out of date it has not cured the problem.


There are a number of questions on this support group but they mainly suggest removing and reinstalling the USB device

And that is my problem - I have a Microsoft Keyboard and a Roccat Mouse in the external USB sockets andnone in the internal sockets.


I have also tried a number of different changes in this article

So far it has not made a difference to error

"USB Device not recognized: One of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it."

When I attach USB Stick to my computer I get the following message: "USB Device not recognized: One of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it."

This USB Stick is working fine when attached to other computers or devices only on this one computer isn't recognized.

Device Manager is showing "Exclamation Mark" when this Stick is attached to USB port. If I unplug it, "Exclamation Mark" disappears.



Can you tell me, please, what should I do to fix this issue, USB Stick to be recognized again on this computer. Thank you!

I keep getting the following error message.

One of the USB devices attached to your computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. But the location of the device is blank. Also all the USB devices are working fine. I have got Windows 10.

 

'One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." POP UP MESSAGE HELP!

Every now and then I will get a popup message from my Task manager in the lower right hand corner of my computer saying "'One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." I don't have any USB
device attached to my computer. I have no idea why I'm getting this message. I keep having to go into my device manager > USB Controllers and deleting this "unknown device".

Its driving me nuts. Does anyone have any clue as to what the *** this is, where it came from, and how I can get it to permenantly stop?
