    One really big desktop?


    I just got these two beautiful bevel-less 27” monitors. 2560x1440 resolution. I got it in my head that if I turn them both vertical, side by side, I can have one 2880x2560 monitor.

    However what I want is for both monitors to act as a single desktop. Double click on a title bar and have the app maximize across the entire 2880x2560 space.

    It doesn’t appear that Windows has this kind of option to extend a single desktop across both monitors. Extending makes them both equivalent monitors.

    Any ideas? I’ve looked for software packages, drivers, settings and nothing seems to get me where I want to be.

    I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

    • Right click on the desktop.
    • Hover the mouse on View.
    • Select Medium or Short as per your desire.
    • Check if it helps.

    To resolve your issue with flickering desktop, we suggest that you update your display drivers with the steps listed below:

    • Right-click Start, then select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters to find the name of your device.
    • Right-click the device and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow steps to update display drivers.
