Windows 10: OneDrive and File Explorer not responding

I am working on a project with someone and we are storing files on OneDrive. Whenever I try to open or move any files into or out of a folder, I get the message "not responding". I tried resetting OneDrive and reinstalling OneDrive, but neither of those things worked. Yesterday I basically restored my laptop to factory settings and reinstalled everything, and it worked for the rest of the day, but there has to be a better fix than that. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

We are not sure whether or not you have tried the above suggestion. If haven’t tried, follow the methods suggested above and check if the issue is resolved.



If the issue persists, scan the PC for the presence of virus/malware by running the antivirus security software. Run the antivirus security software twice to detect and confirm the presence of malware/virus on your PC. Check for the status of the scan
to view the presence of virus/malware.

File Explorer not responding once I add Onedrive and Sharepoint

I have issues with File explorer that does not respond every time I open it up on Windows 10 Home 64-bit

When opening it using the Run command into This PC or Documents it opens correctly with no issues. The second I select to open my Onedrive or Sharepoint files it does not respond and I need to restart the service through Task manager.

I have done the following:

Installed all possible updates on the PC

Checked permissions

Checked the Registry

Storage

Cleared Quick Access list

I have tested this exact setup on a different system running the same OS and it is working correctly on there.

Please advise if anyone has a solution for my problem
