    OneDrive and Skype for Business


    Let me first start with I'm new to Windows and I appreciate anyone that can help me.

    I recently purchased a Surface Pro 7. I'm still tinkering with it, trying to get it just right. Through the school I work at I have an office 365 subscription I can use on my personal computer. After installing office 365 I noticed now I have OneDrive and Skype for business applications. I'm assuming they came from my office 365 download.

    At first I was just going to ignore them but now I'm getting a pop up for the OneDrive for business app asking for a library. I also keep getting a notification that I've been automatically logged into Skype.

    Is it safe to uninstall these programs? This computer is not my main computer for work.

    Skype for business stuck at splash screen on startup


    Just a suggestion... Do you have Microsoft Office installed? If you do Skype for Business is listed under your Microsoft Office folder in your start folder/ All apps. (that's where mine is listed) Right click on it, then choose Uninstall .

    You Can install the regular Skype even if Skype for Business is installed.....I have both installed.

    WINDOWS 10 how to stop "Skype for Business" from starting

    Make sure you have installed the latest update. If the issue still persists, try the following steps:

    1. Open Task Manager> Startup> disable Skype for Business from the list.
    2. Go to the location and remove Skype for Business if it is existing:
      C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
