Windows 10: Onedrive - Create a link when there's no context menu

Hi,

I want to share a 56 MB file with a friend using Onedrive.


I add to 'shared favourites' on Onedrive and then right click, however the context menu simply has 'share' as an option which displays a dialogue where you can choose an email address and it will then send an email, but there's nothing in it.


There are lots of posts on the forum about why the option to create a Onedrive link has disappeared but none seem to be able to fix my issue.


Is there an alternate way to manually generate a link which I can then pop in an email ?

Limited Context Menu list, trying to create easy to access links

Hello,

So i personally don't like links or folders on my desktop, So i want to make context menu links to the software that I use regularly. Because I also don't like Windows 10 start menu or extra applications in the background (Classic Shell) although it works really nicely.

I have been adding lots of links and found out that each context sub-menu is limited to 16 links. Can someone please advise me on how to increase it to a higher number?

Your concern with the context menu can be due to the configuration of your device and/or broken system files. To better understand your concern, we'd like to know the following:

• The last known changes made/activities performed on your device prior to your concern.
• If you've experienced your concern on all areas in Windows 10 where context menu is expected to be available. Examples are File Explorer and desktop icons.
• The version and build of Windows 10 that you're using on your device. To check this, you can perform the steps posted on this

In the meantime, we'd recommend performing a clean boot in Windows to isolate software conflicts on your device. To do this, you can perform the steps posted on this link.
In the clean boot environment, check if you'll be able to load the usual options for the context menu. The link will also provide steps to isolate the possible cause of the issue. Once you're done troubleshooting, check the How

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
