Windows 10: OneDrive folder moved to another OneDrive folder disappeared

In File Manager I selected two folders in the OneDrive Documents folder and moved them into another folder in Documents. The folders disappeared, but were not in the other Documents folder. I searched on my PC for them and they weren't found. I looked in OneDrive online and they weren't there either. I looked in the online Recycle bin and found files that had been in the two folders. I used the restore all action and now the recycle bin is empty, the folders and files still are not in the new or previous location and recycle bin has a banner that says '1 item is currently being restored to your OneDrive'. It has been that way for hours now.


I have four questions:

1. Why did the folders/files disappear in the first place (and apparently end up in the OneDrive Recycle bin)?

2. When I used the restore all action in the OneDrive Recycle bin why did the bin empty but nothing has been restored, what happened?

3. What does the '1 item ...' banner indicate (there were many more than 1 item)?

4. *THE MOST IMPORTANT* How do I recover the folders/files?


Many of these were important files and I was relying on OneDrive. This isn't the first problem I've had with OneDrive. I'm beginning to get very reluctant to continue using it.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Anyone know how to remove "OneDrive - For Business" from the Explorer navigation panel? I've tried just about every registry modification, and windows policy for "Onedrive" but they only seem to work for the consumer product, not for onedrive for business.

The onedrive product alone is so damn annoying and continues to load itself upon startup, even when it's explicitly remove from startup. It continues to automatically load and unload itself from within the startup folder... while I'm actively watching it load itself into the startup folder.

 

Move Library Folders to OneDrive

I seem to have a basic misunderstanding of the process to move folders to OneDrive.

I've followed all the directions that I've found and can't seem to get the locations moved.

When I attempt to select a new location it simply keeps coming back to the "New Location" prompt.

I'm trying to move Documents, Downloads, Music... etc. to My OneDrive folder, which is on a different physical drive. Just need a simple step-by-step lol
