Windows 10: OneDrive Shared Folder & Files

Discus and support OneDrive Shared Folder & Files in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I can't find the answer anywhere unfortunately. I must be doing something wrong....     OneDrive Shared Folder & Files


    I can't find the answer anywhere unfortunately. I must be doing something wrong....


    I am moving from Google Drive to OneDrive and don't find this easy to do in OneDrive.


    How can I set a folder to non-editable, always shared without have to do it each and every time? I always want a particular folder to be shareable not editable so anyone I give the link to can access it.

    When you share files or folders, they are not as protected as they are when you do not share them. People with access to your computer or your network might be able to read, copy, or change files that are in a shared folder. You should always be aware that the files and folders that you share are available to other people and be sure to monitor your shared files and folders on a regular basis.

    Important

    If your computer is not joined to a domain, you can use the Network Setup Wizard to automatically turn file and printer sharing on or off. To start the Network Setup Wizard, click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Setup Wizard.
    If you both use the same computer

    You can put the files you want to share in the Shared Documents folder. Files stored in the Shared Documents folder or its subfolders are always available to other users on your computer.

    OneDrive is very location sensitive . . .

    If you move a shared folder, OneDrive will just see that the folder no longer exists in its original location and not know that it has been moved, you would need to re-share the folder in its new location

    It is like, if say, you have a Word document in your Documents folder saved from Word, that is then added to the Recent File list in Word, if you close Word and move that file in File Explorer, then try to open it from the Word recent file list, Word will tell
    you the file no longer exists, because it does not know you have moved the file outside of Word . . .
