Windows 10: Onedrive "Where are my files" shortcut

OK I made the big mistake of trying to setup OneDrive this morning and now can't fix a problem . OneDrive was syncing and then told me i don't have enough space. When I stopped the sync I now have a link on my desktop saying "Where are my Files". This seems to be the only way I can get to files like my pictures.

I'm not sure how to fix this. All I want to do is turn off OneDrive and go back to having all my file in the "normal" place with no "where are my files" shortcut"

Question if I unlink the account will that fix it?

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

 

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

• Enter the location of the item or tap or click Browse to find the item in File Explorer.
