Windows 10: onedrive

Hello,

I operate on Windows 10.

I opened a One Drive account to hold files that I do not want saved on my computer. Cheaper than an external hard drive.

All went well but I cannot stop them from showing on my documents.

I want to sign out of One drive without signing out of Microsoft and carry on with regular work.

When I need these files later I wish to sign back in to retrieve the files.

This way if someone gets into my computer like at the computer store or breaks into the computer or my computer crashes, I will be able to save these files.

I cannot find a tutorial or YouTube video on how to put the files in the cloud for safety and just leave them there until I need them again.

I don't mind it the icon is showing I just don't want any one to be able to access One Drive without a password. My wife has the password in case of an emergency.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

2. Click the ? Help icon on the top banner of the page.
3. Select Email OneDrive support for the further assistance.

I understand your concern and suggest you to Unlink OneDrive and run OneDrive setup
again and check. Here is the steps:

• 
  Right-click the white OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar.
  
  
  
  (You might need to click the Show hidden icons arrow next to the notification area to see the
  OneDrive icon.)
  
• 
  Click Settings, and then click Unlink.
  
• 
  Follow the steps in the Welcome to OneDrive wizard to set up OneDrive.
