Windows 10: OneNote for Windows 10 - Equation Print Problems

OneNote for Windows 10 has problems with printing equations. The same problem shows up with printer printout or "print to pdf" file. I've printed to two printers with same results. For printing to pdf, I've used MS print to pdf and Foxit print to pdf with same results. I've seen the problem only when there are parenthesis in an equation, characters get shifted around. Here are a few examples showing original and printed:





Not all printed equations with parenthesis have this problem. About half print okay and others are like above. I can find no consistency in what gets printed correctly and what does not.


I also have OneNote 2016 and it does not exhibit the same problem, it prints equations correctly. However, it has other problems printing such as highlight background getting obscured and inking with pen getting shifted relative to print.


I've also viewed notebooks in OneNote online. It has serious problems with inking getting shifted relative to text -- and it varies depending on which browser is used.


This is a big problem for me because I teach math using pen on MS Surface Pro tablet connected to display screen (works well, love it, tablet/pen replaces whiteboard). After class, I print OneNote class lecture notes to pdf and distribute to students. I need a fix or perhaps a workaround.


My current OneNote Version 16001.12026.20112.0. Windows 10 is Version 1903, I keep OneNote and Windows updated to latest.

Print to OneNote not seen...


I am running Windows 10 64 bit and I would like to be able to print to OneNote from various sources but there is no 'Print to OneNote' seen in the list of printers. Could someone explain how I might set this up please?

Since OneNote and Edge are Windows store app, Chances are apps could be corrupted or missing Suggest you to follow below methods and check if it in fixing the issue.

Method 3: I suggest you to follow the steps below to print documents in the Windows 10 Edge browser and check if it helps:

  Once the document is open in Edge, press
  Ctrl+P or More actions button at the top last end of the browser.

  Click Print as PDF button.
  
• 
  Check if the document prints as expected.

Network printing with OneNote App?

I have a Windows 10 64-bit computer and I am trying to print to a network printer with the OneNote App. When I click on print, I don't even see the printer icon in the taskbar. The print job seems to disappear into la la land. I get no errors. I can
print OneNote 2013, Word, pdf, Internet Explorer, and other desktop application fine. It seems that only Microsoft Apps (OneNote and Edge) are not printing. Your suggestions are appreciated.
