Windows 10: OneNote for Windows 10 templates

Hi, I am looking to use certain templates my co-worker has created in OneNote 2016. I use OneNote for Windows 10 and can't find the templates anywhere.
I know I can switch to OneNote 2016. Can anybody confirm that there is no way to access templates in OneNote for Windows 10? Or tell me how to find them?

OneNote For Windows

Thanks for posting in the forum.

We can use OneNote for Windows 10 app to open, display, and edit existing pages created from a template. However, creating and customizing new page templates isn’t possible with OneNote for Windows 10. This feature is available in OneNote 2016 application.

Given the situation, we’ll suggest you provide your feedback in the following OneNote UserVoice thread. UserVoice is the best way to give the feedback to Product Group as it’s actively monitored by them and many new features have been implemented from
our customers feedback.

Meanwhile, as a workaround, if you have OneNote 2016 application installed on your computer,
then you can finish creating and saving a custom template and then sync the notebook to OneDrive for business and later open it in
OneNote for Windows 10 to continue working.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
