Windows 10: onenote sync problems

I have a sync problem with onenote. I have a section called diary which is password protected. There are about forty pages in the diary and eleven of them are now starting to report "Content not available. Sorry, it looks as if this page was added from another computer and hasn`t synced yet". I only ever edited pages ****ew them on my smartphone and android tablet, and the pages in question have all been visible on my laptop previously. How can files suddenly not be available and more importantly is there anyway I can retrieve the bad pages?

OneNote "Sync Conflicts"

Hi Tom,



Sync conflicts error shown in OneNote can be resolved by using OneNote desktop client. To stop seeing this error, can you follow the below steps:

• Open the page which is having conflicts in OneNote desktop client or in Internet explorer
• Open the page in which this error is shown
• On the top of the page there will be a text bar shown. Pressing on the text bar will show conflicting pages for this page.
• Delete the conflicting page by selecting the page and right clicking on it.
• Sync the changes from desktop to server
• After the above steps, open the page in Mobile and tap on "refresh" to get the changes made on the server.

After step 6 is done, sync conflicting error message should be stopped from prompting.

OneNote not syncing on tablet and windows

Hi Muhammad.(Usama),

I'd like to ask what changes have you made prior to this issue. Try reinstalling OneNote on your device.

Also, try following the troubleshooting steps provided on these support articles:

• Fix issues when you can't sync OneNote
• Fix sync issues in OneNote for iOS or Android

Let me know how the issue goes after the troubleshooting.

 

Sync problems with OneNote

I also have problems syncing between OneNote items on my Vista 32 bit Desktop and my Mobile (WM6) via Windows Mobile Device Centre.



I have followed all of the steps in this post to no avail.

I DO have my WMDC sync settings with OneNote ticked so it should be syncing, but i have created a new OneNote which is in my 'OneNote Mobile' Notebook on my PC but this doesn't sync to my OneNote Mobile on my mobile phone.



Any ideas?



Could this be linked to an issue whereby my outlook Contacts and Scheduled Calendar events do sync to my mobile phone but anything in the 'Notes' filed of each contact no longer is sync'd from my desk pc to my mobile. It USED to until around 6 months ago
but i've never been able to identify the reason!
