About the only Edge feature I found that I wish other browsers had was the ability to turn off Adobe Flash. That helps the browser a great deal. No it does not block ads, but it does help stop all the crappy multimedia that you find crashing IE, Chrome, and other browsers.

Uuuummmm, Firefox allows Flash to be deactivated, it even has a setting to ask if you want to run it when it's on a site. Besides since upgrading to the latest Flash release there are no crashes. Add ons are your friend........

  5. That is four browsers, I only need two, none of which are a Microsoft product. Get rid of edge or IE or both.

Edge has never been opened on any of my systems. We are a Chrome household, which is our browser of choice. Hopefully Microsoft will allow us to remove that Tablet browser along with being able to neuter Cortana from Search, since it also does not get used. Hardly ever do searches on machines in the household, since we are mostly just email & web.

  7. I use edge exclusively on Win10 systems, but chrome on Win 8.1. Edge is by far faster, simpler, and I like it better, but it doesn't have a particularly popular extension that chrome does (like the one that gets to the video 'faster'). A gimmick got it working just as well as the app, but once the extensions arrive for edge, I'll be 100% true edge. Edge is very much faster than Chrome, if anyone was wondering...

    I don't like Edge, and I don't like Chrome.

Opera is OK, I use it on my Windows phone.

But I'm staying with IE and Firefox on the lappy/desktop.

You can remove all of those things, you own your PC Microsoft does not. IE can be easily removed in the Control Panel, Edge is a tad harder. I have not had any success doing it so I quit trying. I use it from time to time, it is quite fast.

It sounded like you were waxing poetical at first, but it sort of fizzled out... ...if I may butt in:

    "I don't like Edge, and I don't like Chrome.

Opera is OK, I use it on my Windows phone.

With IE and Firefox on my desktop and my lappy-

Microsoft! Fix that Edge to keep our Wenda happy!"

  11. I want to use Edge, but only on my tablet where it needs a touch friendly browser (Chrome's Metro mode is terrible and gone in 10). Except that I had to downgrade that one because of stupid stylus drivers BSODing and no updates available.

I don't see the point of switching to Edge when Chrome runs fine on my desktop and laptop.

EDGE has NO TOOLBARS and plans NOT to add any !! EDGE has Favorites on the far right side and each entry has TWO lines......a bit confusing !! CANNOT drop down Favorites like Google / IE !! EDGE is too primitive now !!

Edge is still a work in progress. One day it may be able to be used.

Good but MS has stated that it is not finished with the development of it yet.
