  1. Opening a 3rd party app

I keep getting this message when I click on a link to a purchase, "you'll need a new app to open this mql4buy"

I understand Microsoft Store will not have an app for opening this file. The app I purchased works for Meta Trader 4, a platform for forex trading.

    Can I disable Microsoft Store?

    Thanks.

    :)

Windows Mail and 3rd party messages

    Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Please assist me with the following information related to this issue:

    • May I know what exactly do you mean when you say "download messages from 3rd party into Windows Mail"?
    • Are you referring to Mail app on Windows 10? If so, are you able to receive any send email via Mail app?

If you are facing issues with Mail app, I suggest
run the in-built Windows Store app troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X..

    • Click on Control Panel.

    • Select Troubleshooting.

    • On the left pane, click on View All.

    • Click on Windows Store apps to run the troubleshooter.
Let us know if the issue is resolved or if you require further assistance.

  3. Third Party Apps Don't Open

I activated a Lumia 928 two days ago and immediately discovered that the 3rd party apps do not open. I've done a soft and hard reset multiple times. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps with no luck. Any more suggestions?

    Opening a 3rd party app

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Opening a 3rd party app :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
