    I have tried installing Oracle Database 10g on my HP laptop. But I was prompted with an Unhandled Exception with Error Number 0x80040707, DLL Function call crashed: GetHostnameDLL.GetHostname message.

    I have performed Clean Boot, disabled Kaspersky Security application, and scanned for any corrupt files but they didn't work at all. I have even tried installing different versions of Oracle Database with Standard and Express Editions. Nothing worked. I have tried all the solutions provided on the internet and no solution helped me to resolve the issue.


    Any Solution or request for further information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    i have installed oracle 10g Express before 3 years due to the circumstances i uninstalled that again now i am trying to install oracle 10g Express it is showing error 1628 installShield please try to help me sir to get installed software in my pc

    InstallShield Wizard 0x80040707

    I can't install or update a program called Clear.fi on my computer. InstallShield Wizard starts to install it, but suddently this pops-up and the installation stops:

    DLL-function call crashed: GetDXver.GetDXVersion

    The installation is terminated

    Do you guys know what is causing it, and how I can fix it?
