Unfortunately, that's how it used to work. Now (after KB5005565) the remote PC does not have permission to access the driver from the host PC. Either nothing happens or the access fails with error code 0x0000011b.
And you can't "Add A Printer" from the remote host PC without the same error.
Uninstalling KB5005565 solves the problem.

Cannot access Shared Printer

Hello,

First post, will try and be thorough.

Have 3 networked PC's all running Windows 10 Version 20H2.
One of the PC's (we will call this the SERVER) has a shared printer (HP LaserJet M3035) connected via USB.
Of the 2 CLIENT machines 1 connects to the printer, the other does not ("Windows cannot connect to printer", details -> "Operation failed with error code 0x0000011b".
Both of the CLIENT machines are able to access shared files on the SERVER.

I do not think this is a Windows update issue as this has been an intermittent problem ever since the 3 PC's were purchased in Feb 2021.

If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it.
