Windows 10: Outlook Banner Notification Size - Windows 10 Pro

When I used to have Windows 7 Pro - the notification banner would be relatively small and give me the option to delete the message right there.


Now that I have Windows 10 Pro, the notification is much larger and does not give you the option to delete the email right then and there.





Is there a way to change the appearance of the banner so that it is smaller and you have the option to delete it if you want?

Mail Notification Banners not showing

If you haven't performed these steps to display the New Email Notification banner for messages that you receive please follow the below steps:

1. In the search option of the taskbar type “Notifications & actions settings” without quote and press enter.

2. In Notifications & Actions, Show app notifications should be “On”. If it is not, click to the slider to turn on.

3. Scroll down to Show Notifications from these apps and click on
Outlook.

4. Notifications should be “on”.

5. In the “Show notifications from these apps section” make sure Show notification banners should be “on” for Outlook 2013 application if you want to display banners in the lower right corner as messages arrive.

Note: The New Email Alert will only display when the message is delivered to the Inbox folder. If you want the alert to display for other messages you’ll need to make a rule to display the alert.

No notification banners for removable drives.

I'm having the same problem, which I described at Windows 8.1/10 Bitlocker Toast Notification. It affects bitlocker and autoplay notifications. Notifications such as the alarm, 'safely remove' etc show properly so it does not seem to be a broader notification bug.

My system is an in place upgrade of Win 10 Pro x64 from Win 8.1 Pro x64.
