Windows 10: Outlook Calendar Color Category Keep Changing / Reverting

I am using MS 365 on a windows 10 PC. In outlook calendar, my Color Categories or "Categorize" color function stopped working a few months ago. pre windows 10. All of my custom color categories disappeared and the Categorize Color tab reverted to the standard "Blue Green ... etc." My custom descriptions are still in each specific calendar entry - however they're grayed out. If I re-do the whole thing, it lasts for a few hours at most then reverts again. I have tried some troubleshooting that lasts for a short time, then reverts again. I cannot contact any support at MS, but have tried

If you go to your calendar.

Then click on Calendar on the left (or hover over), three dots appear, click on dots, a colour option should appear.

 

Outlook mobile customization

Hello,

• Is it possible to customize tab colors in outlook mobile appointments in week view?
  

• When I use a 'show appointments without categories' filter in outlook mobile, every time I switch back from another application, outlook mobile reverts back to showing calendar without filters applied. Is there a way to change the default view
  to a filtered view showing no appointments without categories?

Outlook Mobile 10 update wipes mail and Calendar

Hello Sinjin,

Outlook Calendar on Windows Phone has a color coding for events which is differentiated in three colors. Color red is categorize as birthday, blue is for the Outlook - Calendar, and green is for holidays. It could be possible that the category for an appointment
has been set to one of those categories.

However, if you would like to add more specific categories and customize it depending on your preference, you can do this by logging in to
Outlook Calendar online.

To manage categories, you may follow the steps below:

1. Select an appointment that you want to categorize. If you don't have any, you can create a new one.
2. After selecting, right click on the appointment and select Categorize > Manage Categories > Add new category.
   
3. You may now select your preferred color for the specific category and name it. You can also delete the other categories that you want to remove by simply selecting the category and clicking the
   X icon next to the name.
4. After creating categories, you can now go to your Outlook Calendar app on Windows Phone and sync your Calendar settings.
