Windows 10: Outlook not updating Yahoo password

I"ve chatted with Outlook support and Billing support and ended up being told to email support, which I did. No answer. I changed my Yahoo password in Yahoo. I can not change it in Outlook. This is not an app or Mail or 365. This is a bought and owned Outlook 2016. Any of the Help links take me to different windows then are displayed in the Help directions. I did find one place where there is a password field that can be changed but the change doesn't take effect. I am so tired of these crappy directions and the lack of support for changing passwords. You would think with the suggestions to frequently change passwords for security that Microsoft would make this process easier.

2007 Outlook prompts for password after yahoo change password


Hello,
I just changed my Yahoo email password, and signed in via IE and works fine.
Then I went into my Outlook 2007 Yahoo email account and changed the password.
However when I try to send/receive email from outlook on the Yahoo account it pops up requesting the password.
I have removed the account and set it up again but problem is the same.
Any ideas please?

Unable to add yahoo accounts to Outlook app

I am trying to sync three yahoo accounts to my Outlook app on a PC and receive Error Code 0x801901f7 . I am also unable to add them to the app on my phone. I have logged into my Yahoo account through a browser, turned on Two step verification, and added
a manage app password for Outlook Android but am still unable to sync. Any suggestions?

How to set up password to start Outlook 2010?

Not exactly, but you can put a password on your PST file, so that no one can really do anything in Outlook unless they put in the password.
