Windows 10: Outlook - Office Professional 2016 - Change Email Password Not Working

We have recently had to change email passwords with our Yahoo email provider. We know we have the correct new passwords as we can use the web-based mail logins. But we cannot update Outlook to use the new passwords.


From the File tab, we select the Account Settings and select the correct account. From the Account Settings dialog that is then shown we select the account and press the Repair... button. We confirm the email account name and select "Let me repair my account manually" under the Advanced options drop down and hit the Repair button.


On the IMAP buttons that are then displayed we can see then edit the password.


But it never takes the new password entered - it always reverts to the old current (bad) password.





When we press "Repair" we get the useless message "Something went wrong and Outlook couldn't repair your account". I presume this is because the old incorrect password is still being used, gogin back to the repair form confirms the change of password was not done and the old password is still there.


How do we actually get this to take the new password?

Group Email In Outlook 2016? Need Help!

Hi guys,

I have a client with a problem in outlook 2016 with her not been able to do a group email. She said she could just click on the group button on version 2007 outlook and then (I guess) select the group of people you wish to send a email to. But in this new version she cant as the group button or selection is greyed out. I honestly have no clue as I don't use the program but was wondering if anyone on here has any idea?

I have uploaded a pic of a screen shot of her outlook 2016 with the greyed out group option.

If anyone has any clue or suggestions to give me to give to her that would be great *Smile

I'm thinking option one is going to be my only option. I'm fine with that as long as I can get Outlook to work with my ISP's pop3 e-mail. Last time I tried that with the new 2016 install I could not get it to work, no way no how. All the same settings that work with the ISO install?

EDIT: I should mention, for me as far as I know, neither of these options are a subscription. They use two different keys but they are perpetual one time activation licenses. I only ran the new download briefly though, as I could not get outlook to work. I bailed and went back to what works.
