Outlook Sign in - make it go away!

Suddenly in the last week or so I was given the gift of the new Outlook. I don't really like it but I can learn to live with all the wasted screen space - I'm sure Microsoft developers know what's best for me!!. However, now almost every time I try to check my emails I get the Sign in screen - see attached screen clip. Can someone tell me how to make this go away, I never had this annoying display until very recently!

    :)

Cortana is possessed, how to make it go away?

Ha ha ha, MSFT motivated to fix! You must be joking. MSFT never fix anything they just come out with more 'features' no one wants or needs in a pathetic attempt mask just how rubbish W10 is. Try 'asking' Cortana to 'Go to Sleep' or 'Stop listening to our
conversations' or 'Stop spying on me'. the responses are hilarious.

sadly I don't have Windows Pro. I tried anyway. But received the response "Windows cannot find gpedit.msc". But thank you for attempting to help.

Have this too, just recently started. Very annoying. I had recently reverted back to 8.1 as Win 10 just kept screwing up my pc. So it`s not just happening on 10.

  5. Outlook.com? I ask because that doesn't look anything like my version of Outlook 2016, from Office 2016.

  6. Ok, I had a feeling it was something like that. It logs me in automatically with my Microsoft Live ID. Even though I never use Outlook.com. I don't remember ever setting it up either? I must have years ago when I first became an MVP? I use the full Outlook client that comes with Office. I have no idea what's causing your popup?

  7. If you don't use outlook live for e-mail you may have to go to Settings > System > Default Apps > Email and change it. I have mine set to Outlook 2016. The default was I think Mail. Which likely takes you to Outlook.live.com.

If I understand correctly, the Outlook online version?
Stop cleaning cookies, or at least save them, when cleaning if using Ccleaner.

It is not the cookies that are causing the problem - I think. I can bring up outlook.com multiple times and it requests a sign in almost every time. I did not delete any cookies or run CCleaner between Sing in's.

I thought it was that, because I had a similar problem with a site once, and saving cookies fixed it.*Sad
does it have the "Remember me" check box?

There is no "Remember me" box. See my original post! Microsoft must have done something to screw up Outlook.com a couple of days ago since I did not have the issue before that and I have not changed anything. The same problem exists on several of my systems so it ain't just a messed up copy of W10.

If you click sign in it will take you straight there but why do we need this middle step.

It's not doing it to me? I see an opening your mailbox prompt with a progress bar and then I'm in. Windows 10 Education 1607 Build 14393.321

I must admit I find it strange that no other users have noticed this issue.

I've been getting that crazy Sign in screen for days now too, but it just now went away. Go figure!

Edit: Spoke to soon, it's back.
