    Does Microsoft have any competent US based technical support, and if so, is this resource available to customers. Twice in the past month I have had problems following a Windows 10 upgrade. In the first instance, the East Indian personnel were unable to find anything in their scripts that would help and kept promising call backs from level 2 technicians that never occurred.

    In the second instance, the East Indian tech got thoroughly off of his script and managed to trash my Dell Laptop. When I asked to speak to someone in charge, he glibly informed me that he "owned Microsoft" and hung up.

    I attempted to contact someone in the USA to complain, but all roads lead to the same East Indians reading from scripts that they do not understand.

    Are there any Americans left working for Microsoft, and if so do they have any concern for the damage being done to the company's reputation?

    AMD Planning to Outsource CPU Production to TSMC

    It's plain commonsense, if AMD outsources its fabrication to TSMC, why would it run its fabs in Germany and Singapore? Are AMD processors selling like hot-cakes that they're not able to meet market demands that they decided to step up output capacity? No. It's less expensive to give your production to TSMC. Now, if they outsource manufacturing to TSMC, commonsense also suggests they won't run fabs parallel and end up spending more.

    Again, this outsource can be a temporary thing, because the Singapore fab is undergoing upgrades, maybe the Dresden fab will undergo upgrades while TSMC plays babysitter.
