    overheating laptop

OK so windows 10 installed installed its self 4 or 5 months ago , it caused my laptop to over heat so i spoke to tech support and they told me it was my fault as i would have to have my laptop checked out at my own expense which i did but there was nothing wrong with my laptop it went back to running quietly and not over heating when windows 10 was uninstalled. about 2 months later this repulsive , intrusive and immoral windows 10 program decided to install its self again this time when i again had to uninstall it my laptop would not run quietly and keeps over heating. I also tried to reset to factory settings but was unable to due to windows 10 causing my back up not to function this i discovered at further expense to myself by employing a computer engineer to reset it.

Imagine my anger when this morning I turned on my laptop only to discover EXPLETIVE windows 10 had installed its self again on my laptop. Where do i stand on getting compensation for my expense, time, invasion of privacy and distress caused to myself by this repugnant program, I don't want it and have never wanted it , I have paid to have all traces of it removed from my laptop and like herpes it resurfaces . Is there any way they will reimburse me for the ruined laptop and the money spent on engineers.

We have to stop this evil windows 10 program or herpes from destroying more laptops and unsolicited installing . Just checking other forums its plane to see its causing others distress and overheating and destroying other machines.

    Please help.

    :)

Hi, can't comment on Win 10 installing itself.

So block it if you don't want it.
If you don't want it, block the prompt (research offers ways).
Here's one idea.. there are others around on the net.
Get Windows 10 Icon - Remove from Taskbar in Windows 7 and 8.1 - Windows 10 Forums

Bear in mind many users don't experience what you're seeing as overheating. On the other hand, there are threads here about high CPU use related to e.g. system and compressed memory that affects some hardware/driver combinations. But these usually don't mention overheating.

    How to complain.
Not here.. this forum is users helping users- and we've had plenty of our own issues.
Try Windows feedback from within Win 10 (E.g. Windows key + ?)
But you will prefer a Microsoft forum to comment.
windows 10 - Microsoft TechNet Search

    Possible causes:
    a. Your laptop is not fully compatible with Win 10 and low level ACPI drivers e.g. aren't affording you normal heat management control.
    b. Sthg installed that is not compatible with Win 10 that is using lots of CPU time. I.e you updated not clean installed.
(Note- you haven't provided a task manager screenshot or commented on which processes are using lots of CPU time so no-one will comment on that- I guess you're not wanting that anyway- just no Win 10).
    c. When I first installed Win 10 on an older laptop, I found Defender was burning CPU time. Also another process under appmodel sthg like tiledataapps (can't recall). Took a while to deal with that.

(Don't ask me why Win 10 may have been offered if your laptop isn't fully compatible.. which may not be the case anyway).

  5. You can try those apps: GWX Control Panel or Never10. But do not rely on them 100%, because MS releases updates for 7/8.1, which overwrite their settings occasionally to force 10 to install, because users want 10, they just do not know it.

Complaining is pointless, MS does not care about users, never did and never will. 10 is more unreliable than any other Windows before causing high CPU/HDD usage for no reasons, overheating is just a side effect of a bad design.
