  1. Overriding scaling on individual screens for specific applications

Hi thereI'm using a coding app on my laptop with a connected external screen, and the app appears fine on my laptop screen, but blurry on the monitor. I changed the settings to override the scaling for just the coding app but now it appears fine on the monitor but blurry on the laptop screen. Is there a way of overriding the scaling settings only on the monitor for just this app, instead of simply overriding the scaling for the entire system for the app.Seb

    :)

  2. Individual scaling on multiple monitors with Windows 10?

Thank you for the answer. But my question is very specific and covers some of your suggestions already.

    • As mentioned, both screens have the same resolution so the resolution difference you're suggesting doesn't seem relevant.
    • As mentioned, the problem occurs as soon as I change the custom scaling, log out and log in again. So no application is moved from one screen to the other.
    • Complementary information: the computer involved always stays docked. So the related suggestion doesn't apply either.
    • Finally please note that the link you provided specifically applies to the following issues (I'm quoting):

      - Elements such as applications, the taskbar, icons, toolbars, text, and dialog boxes appear to be fuzzy.

      - Elements are too large or too small compared to the rest of the desktop.

      - Blurry text appears in applications or in the Windows interface.

None of which is mentioned in my original post. Please read the details of my problem.

How can I fix this specific issue?

Change the display scale for an individual application

    Hi,

    Windows 11.

I have an old application which does not scale itself. I need it to scale to 125% to be readable -- the font it uses is too small.

    What I'd want:

    Set Windows scale at 100%

    Set the application at 125%

However, I can't seem to find a way to do that. The Properties -> Compatibility -> Change high DPI setting can only go with either system or application.

Is there a way to change the scale of an individual application to scale up?

    Thanks

Change the display scale for an individual application

    Hello redhonker

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you can't see the old application words because the font is too small.

It may caused by compatibility conflicts between old software and new systems. You can use this feature "High DPI scaling overrider" to fix this

    problem.
