Windows 10: Pack 1 Redistributable Package KB2538243 - Error 0x80070643

this error update is keeping me from a secure status. it won't allow my laptop to continue to update other products and software.

Those 2 seems to install fine

I keep on getting failure for "Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243) - Error 0x80070643" on windows 10.

I have windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build 18363.720).

Once new update comes this Error reappears.

Please let me know, how can I permanently remove this Error?

 

Service Packs fail to install Error 0x80070643

Daily - I get these failures:

• Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243) -Error 0x80070643
• Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2565063) -Error 0x80070643

Windows 10 is up to date with everything else. What is peculiar is that I downloaded both of these updates and ran them successfully. When I run them again I am asked whether I want to repair or delete. I chose repair and again it is successful.

Why do they install manually and not via the updater?

Why does the updater not know they are already installed?
