    Paint 3D: Why can't I place any model from the collections on the canvas?


    I've reset my PC twice since I bought it. After the first reset - I think - the Paint 3D app worked just fine. I didn't use it again for a long time. Then I returned, and it didn't work. I reset the PC once more, then reset the app twice, and it still doesn't work. The model preview isn't shown. When I click on a model to place it, it loads very slowly, and then...I tried several times, and failed every single timeMy Windows version is 10.0.19043.1165, and my Paint 3D version is 6.2105.4017.0

    I understand your query related to not being able to place a model in Paint 3D. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.



    1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
    2. Do you receive any error message when you try to add a model?
    3. What is the version of Paint 3D app?
    4. Are you connected to domain environment?
    5. Which model are you trying to place on the canvas?


    Meanwhile, I would suggest you follow the suggestions mentioned below and see if that helps.



    Method 1:



    Try resetting the app and see if that helps.



    1. Press Windows + I keys together to open
      Settings
    2. Now click on Apps and select
      Apps & features
    3. Search for Paint 3D app and click on it
    4. Now click on Advanced options
    5. Scroll down and click on Reset


    Method 2:



    Try re-installing Paint 3D app and see if that helps.



    1. Press Windows + X keys together and click on
      Windows PowerShell (Admin)
    2. Accept the UAC prompts
    3. Now type in the following command and hit
      Enter      :

      Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.MSPaint* | Remove-AppxPackage
    4. Restart the PC


    After restarting the PC, download the app from
    Microsoft Store     and see if that works

    Paint 3D Cannot Place a Model

    I've been using Paint 3D in a classroom...Some of our computers will not allow the 3D Library to place Models into Paint 3D. Other computers do allow it. What is the fix for this? Tried all the updates from the Store.

    Same problem with me, in the past, i can import 3d models from 3d library. Lately, after downloading a model, and tried to download another one after quitting the last one, error message “we couldn’t place this model. Try again later” However after resetting,
    it’ll work, but for one time only.
