Windows 10: Paint XP

I have Windows 10, have been using Paint XP on this PC for years, but yesterday when I clicked on an item in the Tool Box, the Tool Box disconnected from the side of the window and now is smaller and floats free, so I have to drag it around out of my way as I work because it is in the work area.


I uninstalled Paint XP, then reinstalled it, but no change. I wonder if it is a registry problem. I would love to get this resolved.


I had to put this under Internet Explorer because there were no Paint options.

• Right click on the picture.
• Click on open with.
• Select paint.
• You will be able to see the picture in paint.

I suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Press windows key on the keyboard.
• Type “Paint” & select the paint icon & hit enter.

Method: 2

• Press windows + R.
• Type “MSpaint” hit enter.
