Partitioned disk hidden in each user

Hi there, I have a laptop with 2 users.

It came with an SSD and an HDD.

I have partitioned the HDD and now it's like there are 2 different drives.

One for one user, and one for the other user.

Is there a way to hide the one that is not for the user?

    Let me explain.

We have u1 and u2 as the two users and d1 and d2 as the two drives.

    u1 owns d1.

    u2 owns d2.

But when u2 is logged in, both drives are obviously visible.

Is there a way that u1 could only see d1 and u2 see just d2?

I don't care about privacy, I just need it so that everything is clear and we don't have mix ups.

    Thanks!

    :)

    W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

    - press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
    - diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
    - list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
    - select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
    - clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
    - create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
    - exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
    - click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

  3. Disk management console view is not up-to-date

i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...

open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)

    enter in
    DISKPART
    list disk

then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
    type in

    Select Disk 7
List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
    ASSIGN

that should get the array up and running ready to use.

    EDITED.

    any problems, post back ^^

    Hard disk partition

You can use diskpart or Disk Management to shrink your Windows partition to make space for other partitions.

If your computer can switch to UEFI BIOS mode, you may want to do that. There is a new utility called MBR2GPT.EXE designed for this, but you have to enable UEFI to be able to boot from a GPT-initialized disk.

You might try running diskpart to check if your disk truly only has one partition or if you are only seeing one and others are hidden. In diskpart, use
list volume to display volumes, or select disk 0 and then
    list partition to list partitions.
