Windows 10: Password Locked

I had my PC (Win10) set to login without a password, it appears as though someone has remotely set a password using the beginning of a common password I use to log into some other accounts...I know, I know. Anyway, now I am locked out of my pc. The computer goes to the login page, whatever I type in as password it says to “Try Again”. It gives me an option to reset password and a screen pops up a “Insert Password reset disc” which I don’t have because I did not set the password to begin with. It is a very upsetting merry-go-round which I desperately want to get off. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

• Tap the Change button in the Password section.
• Re-enter your password; then, create a new password.

• On the right panel select Sign-in options > Under Password you'll see the option to add password.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Windows 10 lock screen password

We appreciate the details that you've provided. We suggest that you remove the lock screen password by following the steps below:

• On the Windows search bar, type in Netplwiz and select the top most result.This window gives you access to Windows user accounts and many password controls.
• Right at the top is a checkmark next to the option labeled Users must enter a username and password to use this computer.
  Uncheck that.
• Click Apply and it will prompt you for your current password. Enter it twice. The next time you reboot, or your PC wakes up from a nap, you’ll no longer need to type in your password.
