Windows 10: Password no longer working after entering safe mode and network

So I was following a tutorial to see how I can eject my tablet safely. I reached a part where it told me to go to msconfig, go to the boot tab and check off safe mode and network under it. When I wanted to apply these changes it told me that I would need the bitlocker recovery key on the next startup so I copied it down and applied the changes. After restarting the computer, it brought me straight to the password screen and didn't ask me for my bitlocker recovery key. So when I typed in my password it told me that my password was incorrect and I also tried entering my bitlocker recovery key but it was still the incorrect password.

Safe mode with networking

Please reply: Is it a wired or wireless connection?

Sometimes it might not work since safe mode allows only a minimum drivers.

I would suggest you run the Network Troubleshooter and see if it fixes your issue.

Please follow the steps below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” on the Windows Search bar and hit enter.
• On the left side of the Troubleshooting window, click on “View all”
• Click on Network Adapter. Please provide a password if asked for it and click ok.

Password not accepted in Safe mode

Have you tried all the above steps suggested by Sangeeta Sarkar on September 13, 2015.

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Are you trying to login the Microsoft account or the Local account in safe mode?
• Did you try with only safe mode or safe mode with networking?
• What is the critical error you are getting?

If you are using Windows 10. To go to safe mode you have to follow the below steps.

If you are able to go to login screen in normal mode try the below steps to go to safe mode with networking.

• 
  At the login screen click on the power symbol.
  
• 
  Hold SHIFT + Click Restart.
  
• 
  After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.
  
• 
  Select advanced options under
  Troubleshoot screen.
  
• 
  Click on Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to
  Safe Mode with networking and check if you are able to login.

No Networking in Safe Mode/Password Issues

• Is there anything specific that you are trying to do in safe mode?
• Was your Internet working when you were on normal mode?
• Were you having password when you were on normal mode?

To exit safe mode and boot into normal mode, kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
• Type msconfig and press Enter.
• In the System Configuration window, click on General tab.
• Select Start-up selection as Normal startup, click on
  Apply and Ok.
• Follow onscreen instructions.
