    I am am trying to recover my PC because since my last update my computer boots to Windows but before everything loads I get a message which says that my PC will automatically restart in one minute. I do not have time to do anything when Windows is booted. I am trying to recover my PC but it says my password is incorrect. I have reset my password. When I try to sign in however, it says my password is incorrect. So I am unable to do any of the repair or recovery options or even get to a c prompt b/c they all require a password. I feel as if I am stuck in an eternal loop in windows and the recovery options. I am able to log into my Microsoft account from other devices without issues. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated.

    The Password is Incorrect

    I have tried login in to my computer on Windows 10 but it shows password is incorrect. I have followed the steps indicated but it is still showing that the password is incorrect. Please advise.

    I can use the Windows password on my Win 10 64 bit computer. I can not use it on my 32 bit laptop. It says the Windows password is incorrect when I try to enter it on the laptop. Any suggestions? I can not recover the password on the laptop.

    How do I get out of safe mode so I can reset my settings?

    1. Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
    2. Type msconfig and press Enter.
    3. In the window, click on Boot tab.
    4. uncheck Safe boot, click on Apply and Ok. Restart
    Not sure why it started in Safe mode. May have been out of sync with your phone from prev incorrect password. See if restart fixes. At least, you know what your universal MS password is. *Wink
