Windows 10: Password wrong to Computer User account email, despite it being correct..

For RDP Im seting up a second user with my secondary email. When I go to set up this new User Account it says microsoft email password is wrong, despite me being able to login to microsoft.com, outlook.com, etc. With the passwordNote ive i

I checked spelling of email and Password signed in with email right now on mobile to post this


1. Is there a better way to setup a second user for RDP

2. What is happening with the password?

Email clients not remembering passwords

Hi all

A friends computer will not remember his gmail password. He used to use outlook, and seeing that I use thunderbird and it would be easier to troubleshoot I installed that for him. Now that was working for a few weeks, and now the same problem is occuring.

We are 100% sure the password is correct, as we can access the email account through webmail, but the local clients will not remember the correct password. Of course the 'Remember password' button is checked, but still no good.

It returns with incorrect password.

Any suggestions?

 

Unauthorized Emails from my account?

It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.

 

Password rejected despite correct password

Hi Sam,

Thank you for posting your concern on Microsoft Answer Community.

If you have another user account on the tablet, you may login to that account and try the below mentioned steps.

1. Login to the other user account.
   
2. Click on start menu and just type “Run”.
   
3. Type netplwiz and click
   OK.
   
4. Then select the user account
   you are facing the password issue.
   
5. Uncheck the box beside
   “Users must enter a user name and password to use this tablet”
   
6. Then restart the tablet and check if you are able to login.
