Windows 10: Pasting copied images to File Explorer

Yesterday I could copy images from a browser and paste them straight to the file explorer. The assigned name consisted of random numbers and letters but the whole point is that I could copy and paste the image straight to the desired folder or any other program. I'm trying it now and pasting does work in other programs, like Discord, but it doesn't work in file explorer. Can I somehow fix this, so I can paste to the file explorer again?

  Press Windows key + X.

  Click file explorer from the list.
  
• 
  Select the CD/DVD drive and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Select the files you want to copy from the CD/DVD, then select the drive where you want to paste or save.
