    PC Bluescreens but only in certain situation


    Hello all, For the past month or so I have experienced this strange error, let me try and explain. When my PC is idle or doesnt have that much of a load, it is prone to crashing bluescreen with various errors. However, if i cap my CPU to 3.6HZ and stop it from clocking up or down, it will not BSOD even when idle.This means that my CPU or other component cannot deal with the CPU being at a low clockspeed, and it throws a BSOD everytime.What could this be because of?

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

    Constant bluescreens - still not fixed

    I don't think you understood my issue - my bluescreens are random, so I can't do a clean boot and provoke a bluescreen. I am not sure what the steps you suggested have anything to do with my problem and it is not clear how it will help. The PC does boot
    up normally, it just crashes randomly during the day.

    I am pretty sure the issue is related to a driver that could be incompatible with Win 10. Please check the older threads to further understand the issue.

    PC wont boot up (No POST, No Video)

    Aren't we being a little harsh? I know I can't be the only other person on this forum to have skipped checking the official memory compatibility list when building a computer. Had I been in the same situation and followed the same steps I would have thought I got a bum board too, regardless of whether or not the memory was on that list.
